Distributed Driver Onboarding

The Challenge

A major food distributor needed to provide
consistent and effective training for new
drivers in 65 field locations.

The Solution

Judge Learning Solutions developed a
program that included a driver workbook,
a fully scripted facilitation guide for
field supervisors, driving evaluation
assessments, and online repository to
provide a broad range of tools, accessible
at the point of need. We provided train-
the-trainer sessions to regional safety
managers, who, in turn, trained the field
supervisors. The online library became a
sustaining resource for managers, housing
the formal training materials, as well as the
following:

• Standard Operating Procedures – all
current and online

• Job Aids – job-specific tools and guides,
also shared in formal training

• Web Events – web-based training
recorded for future viewing

• Operational Playbooks – content
designed to convey current processes and
best practices
